We are beyond excited to welcome you to the inaugural Seattle Sauna Festival! Here is some general information on how to prepare and what to expect:
We recommend taking public transit or a ride share. While parking in the museum’s lot will be limited due to the sauna placement, there is street parking in the neighborhood.
TRANSPORTATION & PARKING
You have purchased a specific time session for your sauna use, but you are welcome to arrive early or stay after your time session and enjoy the food and beverage options, entertainment, and fireside chats, as well as engage with our sponsors and vendors. Festival hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday.
FESTIVAL HOURS
Your festival ticket includes a discount of 50% on admission to the exhibits at the National Nordic Museum on November 1 & 2. Show your festival bracelet or ticket at the ticket counter to receive the discount.
CHECKING IN FOR YOUR SAUNA SESSION
Arrival: Please check in 15 minutes prior to your purchased time period.
Waiver: Each member of your party is required to complete a liability waiver before participating in the saunas. As the purchaser, you must send the link to each of your guests joining you in the sauna. If accompanying a minor participant (ages 13–17), the parent must sign the waiver and confirm the child is medically fit and capable of participating safely in the Activities. Guests who do not complete the liability waiver in advance will need to complete it on-site and your sauna experience may be delayed as a result.
In order to expedite your sauna experience, please follow these steps:
Tickets: Your ticket can be accessed via the confirmation email sent at the time of your registration or online through your Eventbrite account or the Eventbrite app. Add your tickets to your phone's digital wallet for the fastest entry!
We recommend wearing a bathing suit under clothes that are easily removable; i.e. track suit, sweat pants, etc.
You will also want to have some easily removable footwear (sandals, flip-flops, etc.) to wear when you’re not in the saunas.
Dressing rooms will be provided. Restrooms are located just past the museum’s ticket counter.
You will be given a towel to sit on while using the saunas. You will also want to bring a towel for drying off after your session.
The National Nordic Museum requires shoes and either a robe or clothes to be worn indoors. Don't have a robe? Purchase one in our festival gift shop on site!
Nudity is not allowed at the festival.
Stay hydrated! Please bring a refillable water bottle to use during your sauna session. A water filling station will be available, and Sauna Water is available for purchase.
BE READY TO SAUNA!
Lockers and coat racks will be available for you to store your clothes and bags while enjoying the saunas. Locker space is limited and we kindly request that you only utilize a locker while using the saunas so that the next guests are able to secure their items. Please leave all valuables at home.
LOCKERS & COAT RACKS
If you are planning on having an alcoholic beverage during your time at the festival, we recommend showing your ID to the beer garden staff prior to your sauna session to receive your 21+ wristband.
BEVERAGE GARDEN
You are welcome to stay after your time session and enjoy the food and beverage options, entertainment, and fireside chats, as well as engage with our sponsors and vendors.
We kindly request that you remove your items from the lockers at the end of your time session so that the next guests are able to secure their items.
