Thea Pruuli is an Estonian-Australian Saunaema (Sauna Mother). Based in Edmonton, Alberta, she is the only North American knowledge keeper of the UNESCO recognised intangible cultural heritage practice of Suitsusaun (smoke sauna). As a Saunaema, she practices and performs care for the sauna, the people, and nature.
